Prem Santana is a director, writer, veteran actor and graduate of the American Film Institute Conservatory. In 2022, she was selected by AFI as a Telluride Film Festival FilmLab Fellow, and her script Three Piece Suit was a 2023 Disney/AFI Underrepresented Storytellers Initiative finalist. Prior to that, her feature script The Earth Remembered Me (based on her AFI thesis film) was a semi-finalist in the Outfest Screenwriting Lab. Prem also founded the Moonfaze Feminist Film Festival, which ran for four years celebrating female-led films from around the globe. Currently, Prem is developing multiple projects including three features. She is a bi-racial queer woman committed to telling stories from the margins, stories that push the limits of genre and identity, stories that conjure connection and evoke change.
